HAND BUILDING
Hand-building in clay is working off the wheel. Most commonly we instruct projects with sheets of clay (slab), that we run through equipment called a slab roller. Students can complete a project(s) which is great fun and gives you the opportunity to create very interesting and unique items that have lots of personality. You can get very artistic and imaginative with your work. Hand building is for those that want to learn quickly and see the results in class, so there is instant gratification.
With a skilled hand builder, we teach the techniques needed to create handmade items such as coil, pinch or slab pots, or even jewelry, spoons, and cups.
We’ll take you through the basics – how to pinch coil and slab. One hour will be tuition and the next two hours will be supervised practice.
3 hours and 3 people max.
Your finished piece will be ready to collect from the studio after 15 days or we can organise postage at an extra cost.
Price Rs2000 /person – Includes 2 final glazed pieces.
Age- 10+
Intensive Decorating
Join us to learn how to decorate a pre-made stoneware piece using several decorative techniques with our creative ceramic artists.
With a pre-made stoneware bowl, we will show you how to use sgraffito carving, inlay, and painting to create your design of choice.
3 hours /5 people max
Afterward, we will fire and glaze it for you in either a matt or gloss finish and it will be ready to collect from the studio within 15 days or we can arrange postage at an extra cost.
Price Rs 1500 / person
Includes 1 piece from sgraffito or inlay and 1 piece from painting.
All classes have a standard size for painting or decoration.

Clay and Painting for Kids
Bring your kids to the studio to learn how to make a simple ceramic. we will demonstrate and guide your child to paint on a pre-made small bowl, platter, or cup.
Their work will be fired and glazed and ready to be collected from the studio within 7-15 days.
We can organize postage at an extra cost at your request.
3 hours /6 people max
Price Rs1500 /person – includes 1 piece (cup, platter, or bowl).
All classes have a standard size for painting or decoration.

Come and learn how to handbuild using different techniques such as pinching, slab, coil. We will spend the first 1 hour guiding you through the art of hand-building where our teachers will give you hands-on instructions.
1 hour our teacher/artists will demonstrate and show you how to sgraffito, inlay, or paint on one of our pre-made pieces on offer.

INTRODUCTION TO WHEEL THROWING
Come and learn how to throw and turn a simple pot on the potter’s wheel with our experienced throwers and ceramic artists.
We’ll take you through the basics – how to center the clay on the wheel, how to throw a simple pot, and with a pre-made piece show you how to shape (turn) a piece. One hour will be tuition and the next two hours will be supervised practice.
Your finished piece will be ready to collect from the studio after 12 days or we can organize postage at an extra cost.
Price Rs2500 /person – Includes 2 final glazed pieces.
Additional info: Extra pieces from wheel throwing will be charged.
Opportunity to trim your own pieces or alternatively our Studio Team can trim it for you.
Paint a Piece
Join us on the spot for painting a pre-made ceramic piece with one of our experienced artists.
2 hours / 6 people max
Your piece will be ready to collect within15 days or we can arrange postage at an extra cost.

RAKU FIRING
Join us in firing your wares. Get hands-on to be part of the whole Raku firing process. Expect to be amazed at the results of this exciting and often unexpected fire smoke and flames adventure.
We’ll be firing your pieces quickly in a gas kiln – be involved in firing your wares. Once your pieces are at the right temperature they will be taken out with tongs, cooled slightly, and either plunged into water or decoration added by horsehair/feathers and organic matter. Each piece will come out unique with these unusual effects. We can guarantee one thing with this unusual firing technique – it does tend to smell a bit!

Cancellation Policy
Please Note : For cancellations we allow up to 24 hours prior to your class time although we are unable to refund the deposit for your class if you cancel later than 24 hours. We are happy to re schedule your class if we have the space/time slot available.
Terms & Conditions
Pottery is a safe and fun activity and we will assist you during your workshop. However, we work with some relatively sharp tools and friction from the wheel may cause discomfort to your hands. If you feel discomfort, speak to us immediately. Craftsy mix is not liable for injuries incurred during classes.
As you will experience, clay is a beautiful material to work with. However, during the process of firing and glazing, clay-like all-natural materials, can be unpredictable and sometimes pieces can crack or break during firing.
We’ll try our best to prevent it from happening but it is something that happens, even to our most accomplished potters. In the unfortunate case, your piece does break, our teachers will remake it for you free of charge / will provide another piece of similar shape and size.
